Klessheim
Klessheim is a castle from the 1600s and is located just outside Salzburg. The proximity (about twenty kilometres) from Hitler’s mountain retreat Berghof made the castle suitable for official meetings and conferences. At Klessheim Hitler met Italian dictator Mussolini, Romanian dictator Antonescu and Hungarian leader Horthy.
Current status: Preserved (2008).

At the entrance to the castle yard, the sentry boxes remains with the typical German eagle on top. In 2008, Klessheim is a big casino.
