Vennersberg

In Kongsvinger, during the war, the Germans established a small camp for the training of police officers. I am not aware of exactly what form of education and what tasks they were given after completing their education.

Current status: Partly preserved/demolished (2022).

Location: 60°11' 14.27" N 12°01' 18.55" E

Get there: Car.

My comment:

There is very little information available on the history, type, organisation and purpose of the camp. Is also unsure when it was demolished, but there are at least two barracks preserved and these are used by a local motor association.

Follow up in books: Höhne, Heinz: The Order of the Death’s Head: The story of Hitler’s SS (1969).
