Vennersberg

In Kongsvinger, during the war, the Germans established a small traning camp for police officers. The camp was called Vennersberg. I’m not sure exactly what kind of training and what tasks they were given after completing training.

Current status: Partly preserved/demolished (2022).

Location: 60°11' 14.27" N 12°01' 18.55" E

Get there: Car.

My comment:

There is very little information available on about the camp’s history, type, organisation and purpose. I have no idea when it was demolished, but there are at least two barracks preserved and these are used by a local motor association.

Follow up in books: Höhne, Heinz: The Order of the Death’s Head: The story of Hitler’s SS (1969).
