Between 1939 and 1945, Gestapo in Danzig (now Gdansk) had its headquarters Okopowa 9. Its first chief was SS-Obersturmbannführer, Rudolf Tröger, who also was chief of Einsatzkommando 16, a commando that participated in mass executions of the Polish intelligentsia.
Current status: Preserved (2016).

Above the main entrance, it is still possible to read the German, Polizeipräsidium, although there have been attempts to cover it up.
