In a forest about ten kilometres north of Lodz, the Nazis murdered about 30,000 people between 1940 and 1944. The Majority of the victims were Poles from Radegast prison in Lodz, but also Jews from the ghetto in Lodz were murdered in the forest.

Current status: MonumentCar. (2012).

Location: 51°54'10.56" N 19°22'13.81" E

My comment:

A traditionally monument alongside the road where passers by probably never pay any attention to.

Follow up in books: Lukas, Richard C: Forgotten Holocaust: The Poles Under German Occupation 1939-1944 (2008).
