Just north of Torsby and at the top of Valberget lies a defense line (redoubt) 164 which purpose was to defend Torsby and it’s surroundings from an initial German attack from Norway. The defense line consisted of several rifle nests, bunkers, shelters and trenches that were scattered around the mountain.
Current status: Partly preserved/demolished (2020).

The defense line is located in the middle of Torsby sports center and is easily reached by a short walk from the center’s parking lot. However, there are no signs or any information that informs about its history. Several of the bunkers and shelters can be entered.
