Zhytomyr Prison

In the center of Zhytomyr lies a decayed nineteenth-century monastery that between 1941 and 1943 was used by the German security police (Gestapo) as a prison. How many people were imprisoned and how many died is unknown.

Current status: Partly preserved/demolished (2019).

Location: 50°15'07.35"N 28°39'20.82"E

Get there: Car.

My comment:

The prison lies in a residential area and is abandoned, dilapidated and it’s probably not possible to enter the building without trespassing.

Follow up in books: Höhne, Heinz: The Order of the Death’s Head: The story of Hitler’s SS (1969).
